‘Fanny Pack’, ‘Bumbag’, ‘Belt Bag’ …what ever you want to call them , are actually a genius accessory that have added a nice update to my personal uniform. Its the functionality that makes it a real win for me, and so much more than a trendy fad. For the past few months I’ve been obsessed with trawling the internet in search of the perfect belt bag and I think I’ve found it. I bought this black leather one from kara. The leather has a pebbled finish thats really durable and easy to clean. Its slightly oversized so you can actually fit a fair amount in it, yet the whole principle of a bumbag is to only keep with you your bare essentials, and as a self confessed Mary Poppins bag lady, this concept is new to me.
Before buying, I worried that I might end up with a case of buyers regret but I’m pleased to say after having this for over a month, its actually one of my most worn accessories, both for smart and casual outfits. I love it with slouchy knits and denim for a relaxed look, and with a really fitted blazer like this Sandro one (I found for a bargain price in Century 21), or a co-ord suit it gives a smarter outfit a bit of edge.
On the practical side, it makes life so easy, being hands free is one reason I continue to reach for this, that and how versatile it is. This fanny pack comes in two sizes and I love the look of the smaller one, but I’m glad I did go for the slightly larger one in the end. It’s just so handy, I wear it all the time for work, and it got an honourable mention in my latest ‘things I’m loving video’. I’m really enjoying sharing more style related content, and plan on sharing more soon.
