You guys know I’m a HUGE Glossier fan, I don’t think its over the top to say I wish I had thought of it! It’s the simplicity and effortless vibe that appeals to me, and the fact their campaigns and socials alike have a sense of inclusiveness.
One of my favourite things about Glossier is that the Products have a real multi use feel to them, and I think they’re a brand that encourage you to play with makeup. So now that I’ve shared the products with you (you can see the full video review HERE) I thought it might be fun to show you 3 ways you can wear glossier, with a mix and match approach to the products. There’s a look for everyone, from super clean and minimal, to soft and pretty, to a slightly sexy, lived in look that’s a little bit more dramatic.
LOOK 1 CLEAN & MINIMAL
For all 3 looks I prepped my gorgeous Model Megan with the Perfecting Skin Tint in Medium and Stretch Concealer in shades Medium mixed with Light. I also groomed the brows with Boy Brow in Brown throughout. The first look was the most natural, keeping an emphasis on clean healthy looking skin, so the only other addition was Birthday Balm dot com on the eyelids and Generation G Lipstick in Cake on the lips. And that’s it!
LOOK 2 SOFT & PRETTY
In addition to the base and brow products, for the next look I wanted to show you how versatile the Cloud Paints are, as these are one of my most used Glossier products in my pro kit. I took Cloud Paint in Haze and swept it across the eye lids for the most beautiful sheer hint of colour. Don’t be afraid of pink on the eyes, it can really enhance your natural eye colour, as you can see in the picture of Megan. Then I added Generation G Lipstick in Like to the lips.
LOOK 3 VAVA VOOM
For the final look, again I wanted to mix up how you can use the products and layer them to create really beautiful effortless looking makeup, that still has a little bit of something. For this look I wanted a little bit more of a statement, so I took generation G Lipstick in Leo and applied it too the eye lids, and then added the Clear Lipgloss on top of the eye lids for an intense glossy finish that’s free from shimmer. These two both work so well on the eyes, and I love the effect. I also used a little bit of the lipgloss on top of the cheek bones to give the skin a glow without shimmer, and then completed the look by tapping cloud paint in Puff onto the lips and blotting it in for a lighter lip to keep the emphasis on the eyes.
I hope this post shows you just how easy it is to mix things up. Makeup is all about having fun and experimenting and the principles used to create these looks also apply to many other beauty products, lip products don’t just have to go on the lips etc. Have fun, play, and let me know which is your favourite look.
